Today I marvel at the calm beauty of this place. There is stillness hanging in the air. Yesterday an eight-point white-tail buck walked causually into the backyard within 40 feet of the back of the house. I followed him,  peering through the windows moving from room to room in the house to secretly watch his majestic confident body saunter into the pine bush just to the north.

It is moments like these that seem magical, timeless and yet so immediately present.

The harvest is in, organic golden honey put in jars, vegetables distributed and stored and only 3 bushel baskets of apples await their transformation into juice, apple sauce and other delights.

For the last two weeks a singer has been recording in the studio, enjoying the solitude and acoustics of its secluded place amongst the trees.

All is good and present with gratitude.
